But why tho? Why?

My guess is that the real reason is that all the really well animated hentai do pretty much only NTR hentai except Bunnywalker they do some non NTR stuff.

    2. The same mystery as how RaG sold over 15m copies, ppl are fked up and we live in some awful timeline, we deserve a fking meteorite crashing and wiping everyone out.

    3. Because Japanese otaku are fucked in the head, can’t envision themselves ever being with a woman under normal circumstances, and are sexually aroused by feelings of despair.

A netorare fetish is so mentally destructive that even if I had it I’d do everything in my power to not nurture it. Gooning is not greater than general well-being.

    4. usually high quality doujin/hentai often including NTR which is VERY profitable in the market, they really like some tragic and sad drama action

It reminds me a bit of how popular infidelity is as a trope in telenovelas and soap operas.

    6. Probably because of the dream of the random workers or neet to be above those above them, by what I know most of the time the wife/GF is married/engaged with the protagonists boss, bully, the popular guy at the school or someone with a position of power while the MC is either a normal guy (like those normal workers) or ugly bastard (for the neets, atleast the ones that don’t take care of themselves)

      TLDR; power fantasy

    7. As a surprise to absolutely no one. Just how they are. Manga, anime, novels, hentai, porn, everywhere.

    8. I’m not interested in NTR and don’t like it much myself, but I always laugh at how easily it triggers people. Just don’t consume it and move on lol.

One of life’s great mysteries, similar to people liking rent a girlfriend in japan as compared to the west.

    10. I imagine three reasons (but could be more).

      1. It’s not about the cheating *by itself*. What do I mean? Simple, not that they think they are on any of both sides (cuck or villain) of the story, just that they *love* the idea of a woman so horny that would fall into that just for pleasure or lust. So, in this hypothesis, the reason is because women are extremely lewd in those works.

      2. It’s by the art. There is the meme that the art is too good, that I think it might be real.

      3. Projection. They are projecting on the cuck or on the ugly bastard or the guy of the haircut, or whoever is the character they have a fetish about.

It could include the idea of the cheating (which is an already established fetish), or a specific addon of the manga’s story (I don’t know what combinations do authors make usually with NTR).

Humans are unpredictable and too predictable, so it could be any reason. I think just a Japanese could say if there’s a cultural reason for it (because, let’s be real, giving a statement as a fact just with this would be absurd) .

I could be 100% wrong but I think it’s one of those things we’re depressed people seek depressing media. And it’s no secret vibes in Japan are not great for the average Japanese person.

This is the same as when Windows enabled copilot by default and then went “Oh look! Everybody is using it!”

    13. 1. Good art. U guys can find pin-point or avantgarde ‘s product, those art blessed my eyes
      2. Nothing better to read. Harem, romance… are boring af, but scat, guro…. are too much to handle. NTR is between that, not too lame, not too harsh, perfect balance

Okay, I’ll confess that NTR is one of my favorite tags. Mostly because of the corruption element. I find it super hot when the female lead desperately tries to remain faithful, but in the end succumbs to her darkest desires.

I don’t like ntr though when it’s based on property that I’m already familiar with though. Like My Dress Up Darling. Shipping Gojo and Marin is more important than gooning.
